Job Description:

We are looking for a responsible and approachable Student Counsellor to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for students who are looking for guidance related to courses, admissions, and career opportunities. Your main responsibility will be to understand the needs of students and help them choose the right path based on their interests, qualifications, and future goals.

A Student Counsellor plays a very important role in shaping a student’s future. You will be required to interact with students and sometimes their parents, explain available courses in detail, and provide clear information about the benefits, career scope, and admission process. This role requires patience, good listening skills, and the ability to communicate information in a simple and convincing manner.

The ideal candidate should be someone who enjoys interacting with people, has a positive attitude, and is willing to guide students honestly. You should be able to build trust with students and provide support throughout the admission process. This includes following up with leads, answering questions, and helping them complete necessary steps.

This position is suitable for both freshers and experienced candidates who are interested in counselling, education, or customer-facing roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Interact with students and understand their educational background and career goals

Provide guidance on suitable courses based on student interests

Explain course details, duration, fees, and career opportunities

Follow up with leads through calls, messages, or emails

Maintain accurate records of student inquiries and interactions

Build strong relationships with students and parents

Address questions and concerns in a polite and professional manner

Coordinate with internal teams for smooth admission processing

Achieve daily and monthly counselling or admission targets

Keep updated with available courses and industry trends

Support marketing and promotional activities when required

Required Skills:

Good communication skills in Tamil and basic English

Strong listening and understanding ability

Friendly and approachable attitude

Basic computer knowledge

Ability to explain concepts clearly

Patience and empathy while dealing with students

Time management and organizational skills

Confidence in handling different types of people

Qualifications:

Any degree or diploma

Freshers can apply

Prior experience in counselling, telecalling, or customer support is an advantage
