Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Job Overview:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance and accounting team in performing various clerical and administrative tasks related to financial transactions and record-keeping. Your responsibilities will include assisting with bookkeeping, invoice processing, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and assisting with financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Bookkeeping:
    • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording financial transactions in appropriate ledgers or software.
    • Enter and post financial data, including invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
  2. Invoice Processing:
    • Process invoices and ensure their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  3. Reconciliation:
    • Assist in reconciling bank statements and accounts payable/receivable to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  4. Financial Record Maintenance:
    • Organize and maintain financial documents and records in a systematic and accessible manner for auditing and reference purposes.
    • Assist in preparing and organizing financial reports, statements, and other financial documentation.
  5. Assist in Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Support in the preparation of budget reports and forecasts by gathering relevant financial data and assisting with data analysis.
  6. Administrative Support:
    • Assist with general administrative tasks within the finance department, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
    • Coordinate with other departments and teams as necessary to facilitate financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software   and other relevant computer applications.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and record-keeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
