As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance and accounting team in performing various clerical and administrative tasks related to financial transactions and record-keeping. Your responsibilities will include assisting with bookkeeping, invoice processing, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and assisting with financial reporting.
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording financial transactions in appropriate ledgers or software.
Enter and post financial data, including invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
Process invoices and ensure their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
Assist in reconciling bank statements and accounts payable/receivable to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Record Maintenance:
Organize and maintain financial documents and records in a systematic and accessible manner for auditing and reference purposes.
Assist in preparing and organizing financial reports, statements, and other financial documentation.
Assist in Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support in the preparation of budget reports and forecasts by gathering relevant financial data and assisting with data analysis.
Assist with general administrative tasks within the finance department, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Coordinate with other departments and teams as necessary to facilitate financial processes.
Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is beneficial but not required.
Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and record-keeping.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record maintenance.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
