Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assistant to support our engineering team in maintaining and improving the quality of our products and processes. The Quality Assistant will collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure compliance with quality standards, conduct inspections, assist in audits, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Quality Assurance Support:
Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control processes and procedures to meet industry standards and company requirements.
Review and update quality documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
Inspection and Testing:
Conduct inspections and tests on components, products, and materials to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Record and analyze inspection and test data, identifying trends or areas for improvement.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, tests, and quality-related activities.
Prepare and submit reports summarizing quality performance and non-conformities, as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with engineering and production teams to address quality-related concerns, provide guidance on quality requirements, and foster a culture of quality awareness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
Assist in evaluating and monitoring supplier and vendor performance to ensure compliance with quality requirements and specifications.
Participate in supplier audits and assessments, providing input on quality aspects.
Training and Development:
Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to quality assurance, engineering processes, and relevant industry standards.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Previous experience in a quality-related role or in an engineering environment is preferred.
Knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean).
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for data analysis and interpretation.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
